2013 MISSIONS TRIP
Imagine taking a vacation with great purpose.
Envision young Costa Rican girls who have suffered abuse -- some at the hands of family members -- having a safe place to go before and after school. See the weight lifted from them as they experience HEALING and the POWER of FORGIVENESS. Picture the girls carrying themselves with DIGNITY, no matter what they have been through, STRENGTH to thrive in their current reality, and HOPE for the future.
We will be traveling to Costa Rica April 19-28.
You will be working alongside missionary Mary Mahon to renovate a home to be used for ministry to young girls. Mary is leading a pilot program, "CHICAS de Promesa" (Girls of Promise clubs), that has the potential to grow and be used all through Latin America in Latin America Child Care programs! She has a huge heart full of compassion for the poor slum areas.
The program will provide a safe place for young girls to learn and grow before and after school. The girls will receive the tools they need to release themselves from the cycle of poverty and violence against women. This will prevent the girls from falling into the cycle of victimization.
We believe God will do AMAZING things through this ministry. We also believe EVERYONE who is able to travel and be a part of this trip will be forever changed.
