CONVOY OF HOPE UPDATE

ONE DAY TO FEED THE WORLD

UPDATE: During our 2010 Missions Convention, nearly 75% of our church family gave more than $81,000 to Convoy of Hope for One Day to Feed the World. That translates into 400,000 to 500,000 meals for poor and suffering children.

Plus, 70 of us rolled up our sleeves, put on blue plastic gloves, and armed ourselves with twisty-ties and packing tape to assemble 16,000 meals of beans in one hour on November 12 for Convoy of Hope! These meals, part of the 100,000 meals packaged during fall youth convention, will be fed to the world’s hungry through Convoy of Hope’s feeding programs. Thank you also to those who helped unload the supply truck that morning!

MORE ABOUT ONE DAY TO FEED THE WORLD:
Can one day of your life change the world? Yes!

Each day, more than 16,000 children die of hunger related causes, and many more die from lack of clean drinking water. That is more than 6 million lives lost each year.

But we have the power to change that through Convoy of Hope’s One Day to Feed the World campaign. Watch these videos to get a glimpse into Convoy of Hope's impact.

The concept is simple. Your gift, equal to one days’ wage (or one day’s allowance) can help change the world for suffering people. With the help of corporate sponsors, Convoy of Hope can multiply a $100 gift into $400 or more of life sustaining goods. Everyone can participate in One Day to Feed the World.
