Is your friend worth 9 weeks? You know, the one who has been asking you questions about God, leaving you wishing there was someplace you could go with them without getting the sales pitch and pressure to become a Christian. Alpha is an opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the Christian faith for our lives today. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity with loads of opportunity for debate and discussion. The style of Alpha is informal, friendly and non-pressured.

Each of the 9 weeks in Alpha, you will watch a video covering various topics of Christianity. The evening closes with an open discussion concerning the evening’s topic .

Alpha is for all adults and is especially geared to:
• People interested in investigating Christianity
• Newcomers to the church
• New Christians
• Couples preparing for marriage
• Christians who want to brush up on the basics.

Alpha is enjoyed and appreciated as much by those who have never set foot in a church as it is by those who once attended or are regular churchgoers. No matter what your background, whether investigating Christianity for the first time or revisiting your faith, participants get a lot out of an Alpha course.

The 9-week Alpha course meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and is offered two times each year — fall and winter/spring. Even if you are not sure about making the 9-week commitment, come to the introductory class to find whether this is for you. Plus, as a part of our Wednesday night classes, your kids will have a blast learning about God with others their age.
